It's like baking a cake. Following a recipe is enjoyable, but understanding the purpose of each ingredient gives you the freedom to create something entirely new with whatever you have in your pantry.

That's exactly what learning the principles of communication, character development, and script analysis does for an actor.

Instead of simply copying another actor's performance, you'll learn how to create a performance that is uniquely yours—one that grows out of your own understanding, imagination, and connection to the story.
