Welcome to the Bridge
Sharing Jesus' love in a tangible, practical way.

At Breakthrough, our lives have been radically changed by Jesus' love and power, so we're passionate about taking that same help to the world around us.

We have a deep passion to see our community, our city and our world expereince the same love we have, and so we formed the Bridge.

The Bridge helps us to create bridges of trust and connection with our community and our world, to provide real help with those who are hurting around and to take God's love to the least of these in a tangible, practical way.

We'd love you to check out below some of what is happening in and through the bridge, and how you can get involved!

How can you help?
Ready to be a part of reaching our community?

The Bridge can exist because of an amazing group of people, who do more than talk the talk - they walk the walk and are putting Jesus' great commission into action!

There are two simple ways you can get involved in the work of the Bridge: joining the team or financial support.

The Bridge can exist because of Team Breakthrough - an amazing group of people who are passioante about finding their place in the body and living it out so that together we take God's breakthrough love to our community in creative and exciting ways!

We'd love nothing more than to help you find the place in the team where you can fully express your unique gifts, talents and style!

The first step to join the team is to complete the Launchpad - a 15-minute, online, interactive course designed to help launch you into your place in Team Breakthrough!

Financial Support
Empowering the work of the Bridge.

We are so grateful for all those who support the Bridge financially, and all the ways it empowers our team to share God's love locally and abroad. If you want to give towards the work of the Bridge you can do so at any time. It can be specifically allocated to local community outreaches, overseas missions or wherever it's needed most.

1. Real Help

Real Help is all about meeting our community right where they’re at. It’s about showing them love by providing the practical and physical help they are in need of.

From a food hamper when things are tough, to a listening ear when they’re not sure where to turn to next. Or maybe its as simple as providing transportation and support for someone who has a difficult appointment to attend. Real Help is about providing the love of Jesus in a practical way to those in need.

2. Brekky Clubs at Local Schools

Our Brekky Clubs enable us to provide children in our local primary and secondary schools with a nutritious breakfast to start their day. It is one of the ways we support the families in our local community.

3. Local Bridge Events

Local bridge events happen regularly with the purpose of connecting with our local community. These include a wide range of events such as sports days for local youth, kids’ carnivals, outdoor concerts and special presentations at our church facility. These events are always designed to not just provide people with a fun experience, but to connect them with Jesus!

4. Overseas Mission Partners

We are partnered together with a number of missions all around the world. These missions are making a real impact in the lives of people in some of the hardest to reach places on the globe, and we are honoured to partner with them with not just regular financial support, but also practical help and sending teams of helpers to work with them in making followers of Jesus in all  nations!

See below for some of our missions partners...

Living Waters Village - Borneo

Ronny and Kay Heyboer left Australia for Borneo in January 1995. They moved to the city of Sintang in January 2002 and bought a large plot of land further in the jungle in order to build accommodation and schools for children who are in need. There are now around 500 children and young people living with them at Living Waters Village. Some of the young people are being supported through tertiary education to gain skills which will benefit the ministry in the future; others are at Bible College at the moment. Besides the support provided by the church itself, a number of our families are supporting children in the village through their sponsorship program.

The vision is to build a village which will provide accommodation for 1,000 neglected children and schools for 2,000 children, from primary to high school level.

Jerry Savelle Ministries International

For many years Breakthrough has been closely partnered with JSMI in their mission to “Motivate, Evangelise, Disciple & Reach Out.”

JSMI does extensive missions work in Africa.  In addition to the humanitarian work of distributing food, clothing, school supplies, orphanage support and many other outreaches, crusades are conducted annually where as many as 7,000 people have run to the altar to meet Jesus in just one week.

They also run the “Chariots of Light” motorcycle ministry, an outreach designed specifically for bikers. In the last year Chariots saw nearly 30,000 people make a commitment to follow Jesus!

Love to the Nations / Abbahouse:Thessaloniki

Love to the Nations is committed to sharing the love of Jesus Christ to the nations, both in word and in deed. To encourage believers to rise up and live the extraordinary life God has called them to live through the power of the Holy Spirit.

ABBAHOUSE: THESSALONIKI is a children’s home being pioneered and supported by Love to the Nations in Thessaloniki, Greece. The nation of Greece has been hard hit with financial struggles and the refugee crisis in the past few years, which not only has affected adults, but the children as well. This crisis has resulted in many “social orphans”, children whom are surrendered from their parent’s care due to inability to care for them. This, along with children abandoned and orphaned by other causes, is the purpose of why we are opening ABBAHOUSE, a home where the orphan is no longer an orphan but a child loved by God, their Heavenly Father.
