We asked the Jesus Seekers… What does the Christmas story mean to you?

 

Sam: With Jesus' birth, it shows us He didn't come as a king but as a servant, to show us forgiveness of sins and the way to God.

Elliott: God sending His only Son to save us from our sins and death and into eternal life! What I noticed most about the Christmas story is that Jesus came to serve, not to be served.

Felicity: That we aren't alone. After His birth and death, there was someone to be by our side, and we have a Helper and support. I identify most with the shepherds in the Christmas story.

Maddison: I love that it shows us how much He loves us: to leave heaven and come to earth for us! It also shows me there is hope for us because we can be saved from our sins. The humble will be exalted, and the exalted will be humbled, like the shepherds and the wise men.

Erika-Lee: It’s knowing that God came down for me, not as a grown king but as a baby. God asked Him to come, and Jesus chose to come willingly.

Caitlynn: Something so innocent and small can bring something so big! Jesus, a baby, was able to save us all. What I noticed most about the Christmas story is that He brought peace in perilous times.

Mark: I love that we went from being His creation to His adopted children because of what Jesus did! And He came willingly!

Kirstie: I love the Christmas story as it brings me such peace. I know that when Jesus came, it was in such perilous times, and that from the day He ascended back to heaven, we have all had the Comforter and have never been alone. The Christmas story brings hope, peace and joy. It's the ultimate redemption story. I can only imagine the angels filling the sky and heavens in anticipation of the moment Jesus took His first breath! The joy, the rapture that would have broken forth... God's love and Word became flesh and cried out for the first time! The faith and obedience of Mary and Joseph, and this moment, this scene… and it’s only the beginning!
