Hello, it’s Kirstie, and we’re appreciating our pastors in this shout-out from the Breakthrough Coffee Co this Quarterly.

It’s a real honour to make our pastors their orders on a Sunday morning. The joy they both express when receiving their beverages makes my whole day!

Did you know both Pastors Peter and Christine like hot chocolate... but only one likes coffee in it too! Can you guess who?

Pastor Peter enjoys a triple, extra-strong and extra-hot hot chocolate. An extra-hot triple, you might ask? That’s when you use the white, regular and dark hot chocolate mixes and make it as hot as you can without setting it on fire.

Our lovely Pastor Christine prefers a white chocolate mocha, taking advantage of our yummy syrups.

We have our amazing pastors to thank for our ray of sunshine on Sundays… aka our coffee cart. They stood behind our original team and championed the vision for the original Eden coffee cart, then supported our amazing Brooke to bring the new Breakthrough Coffee Co corner to fruition. So while you enjoy your before- or after-service coffee, know that our amazing pastors are a tremendous support to our Breakthrough Coffee Co team and Breakthrough family, and that they love sharing a coffee with you.

I remember before our coffee cart was a thing and we were new to the church, Pastor Christine took me out for a coffee—a hazelnut latte. It was such a wonderful time for me, and it blessed me so much! I think sharing over a coffee is the best, but sharing our faith together is what coffee and hot chocolates were made for!

Knowing what a blessing this is and because of their love for the church family, our coffee morning has grown into quite a family hub before service. Thanks to our amazing after-service team too.
