“Now what?”
You’ve probably asked this before.
Sometimes it’s after dinner—now what? Ice cream?
Sometimes it’s after life throws you a curveball—now what? Time to pivot?
Let me share a personal “now what?” moment with you.
Back in 2019, we were preparing for Jesse and Cathy Duplantis to visit Breakthrough. We were so excited! We’d been praying for them to return ‘Down Under’ for years.
But underneath all the excitement, I carried heartache. I’d been through a challenging season, and I felt spiritually… flat. Dreams I’d been believed for—still sitting on my vision board—seemed just as out of reach as ever.
I did everything I knew to do… but nothing happened. Then an opportunity came up that looked like it would take me further from those dreams, not closer. I was grateful, but also confused.
Why did it seem like God was working for everyone else but me?
Did He forget?
I’m being real here. I loved God, and I trusted Him, but I didn’t get what He was doing.
Then Rev Jesse and Ms Cathy ministered… and something broke!
The heaviness lifted.
Despair left.
The pressure fell off.
Discouragement was gone!
I felt healing in my soul. I knew with every ounce of my being: God hadn’t forgotten me. He hadn’t left or given up on my dreams. I just needed to keep walking, trust Him, and hold on.
(Side note: that “random” opportunity became a massive part of my dream—just in a way I never expected. God knew.)
There was something special about that meeting. Yet the next morning, I still asked: Now what?
I didn’t feel low anymore. I wasn’t discouraged, but… what now?
Was I going to return to life as usual? Or would this moment become a launchpad?
I realised if I wanted to keep the fire alive, I needed to change some things. A coal pulled from the fire doesn’t burn for long.
I had a choice: that meeting could either be a moment of breakthrough or a launchpad into a new season.

Read the Word with friends. My two best friends and I do a Bible reading plan together. We text each other every day about what stood out from that day’s chapter. It’s simple—but it’s changed my life.
Join a Life-Group. Community keeps your fire burning, so don’t go it alone. Life-Groups are where you find people who’ll walk with you, lift you up, and cheer you on.
If God’s done something in you—big or small—don’t let it be a moment that fades. Let it be the start of something new.
So…
Now what?
You get to decide.
