The Collision Initiative

The Collision Initiative is about colliding Jesus with every passion, every purpose, and every sphere of life we influence. It's a call to take what we love—whether it's movies, sports, media, or any other area—and use it to glorify God. And it’s all about making Jesus a part of every part of our lives.

Born out of Breakthrough Melbourne and led by Brooke Lewis, this initiative started with a simple word: Collision. It came to Brooke at the age of 17 while praying for direction in her life. What followed was years of pouring passion into movies and storytelling, believing that God would use this love to bring His Kingdom into a new space.

And He did.

What started as a small idea soon exploded into Movie Sundays, a series of services where movies and faith collided in fresh and creative ways. These Sundays weren’t just about movies; they were moments of deep, powerful collision between culture and Christ. From exploring The Greatest Showman to diving deep into the heart of Jaws, each Movie Sunday revealed how God is speaking to us through the stories we love.

Now, the Collision Initiative is expanding beyond Movie Sundays. It’s about stepping out in faith, taking our passions, and actively seeking opportunities to collide them with Jesus. Whether through writing, speaking, or just living with intentionality, the Collision Initiative empowers us to take the message of Christ into the places we already love and influence.
