During Term 1, we experienced a powerful journey of discovering who we are in Christ and what it means to truly follow Him. One of the biggest things we learned is that faith is more than knowledge. It’s relationship.

As leaders, we’ve encouraged our young people not simply to know about Jesus, but to seek Him personally through prayer, worship, and time in His Word. As we’ve done this, we’ve seen growing confidence in who God says they are: loved, chosen, and created with purpose.

We’ve also explored what it looks like living out our faith daily. From showing kindness and forgiveness to standing firm in truth, our group has learned that following Jesus shapes every part of our lives, not just on Sundays.

Another key theme has been identity. In a world constantly trying to define us, we’ve been grounding ourselves in the truth that our identity is found in Christ alone. This has sparked honest conversations, deeper connection, and a growing hunger to live authentically for Him. It’s been encouraging to see friendships deepen, faith grow, and hearts open. Honestly, I feel I’ve been affected just as much as our young people, or maybe even more!

We’re excited for what God will continue to do as we keep seeking Jesus together, abiding in Him and He in us. (2 Corinthians 5:17 was our scripture for 2025 and Matthew 6:33 is our scripture for 2026.)

As the leaders of Jesus Seekers, we have the absolute honour of leading the youth of Breakthrough. I think one of the most wonderful parts is that God has brought an array of leaders together, from different age groups to different backgrounds. When we share in our meetings, the Jesus Seekers get four to five unique experiences and stories, showing such a broad range of experiences with God!

We love how praise and worship is a huge part of our meetings, as well as fun games and study. How we can meet online and still catch up if we can’t get together in person. We also love teaching who we are in Christ and what God says about us, listening to that soft still voice and keeping our eyes on Jesus.
