Almost every year, I start with reading the book of Joshua. I find it a very encouraging book that helps to stir up my faith for the coming year. And no matter how many times I read about the battle of Jericho, I always get something new out of it!

I often think about how the children of Israel must have felt doing the same thing day in, day out…and not seeing any change!

When they were lying in bed at night, I wonder what they were thinking. I’m sure there were many who didn’t want to wake up the next morning to just do the same thing again.

It can be so hard when you believe you’re doing what God has called you to do, yet you’re not actually seeing any change.

Pastor Steven Furtick said something many years ago, and it has always stayed with me.

“Will you keep walking, even when it doesn’t seem to be working?”

I ask myself that many times:

When standing for healing: will I continue to speak God’s Word, even when I haven’t seen the manifestation in my body yet?

When standing for finances: will I continue to tithe and sow, even when I haven’t seen the harvest come in yet?

When standing for restoration in relationships: will I continue to walk in love and forgiveness, even when they continue to hurt me?

When standing for the fulfilment of a vision: will I continue to take steps towards my dreams, even when there's no path to be seen?

“Just because your progress isn’t obvious, doesn’t mean your faith isn’t working. _ Ps Steven Furtick

The walls of Jericho didn’t get slightly lower every day. There was no evidence that what they were doing was working. Yet they still kept continuing to obey God’s instruction to them… WALK!.

“Obedience is my responsibility, outcome is God’s responsibility.” _ Steven Furtick.

I encourage and challenge you to stop looking at the  walls which haven’t fallen, and keep your focus on what God has (1) promised and (2) instructed you to do.

Dont lose heart.
Don’t give up.
Don’t compromise.
Just keep walking!
